SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Special Circumstances
Special Circumstances refer to students or families facing challenges related to behavioral, learning, emotional, financial, or other needs that fall outside of our current resources.
Behavorial/Learning/Emotional
While we empathize with these families, we acknowledge that we are not equipped to provide the specialized care or services that every student or family may require. This decision is made on an individual basis, taking into account the available resources, level of need, and the affect on our current student population. Some individuals facing these challenges would benefit most from the support of trained professionals and we will attempt to provide a referral or suggestion if we are unable to take a student into our group.

Financial
For those experiencing financial hardship, please note that we have been committed to keeping our costs as family-friendly as possible throughout the past decade as we have provided educational support for dozens of families. Each family covers costs that go directly to providing lessons and any books, supplies, and special equipment needed for their student/s. Parents and volunteers teach and serve in roles that replace the cost of paid staff. Our meetings are held in a private donated space, drastically reducing the overall cost to families.
We also offer fundraising opportunities to help families offset their costs, however, financial commitments remain the responsibility of the family if co-op and fundraising doesn't fully cover the committed amount.
